Having spent many years as a graphic artist at an aerospace company, I have had the opportunity to design logos, full page ads in aerospace magazines, design and build high end full color brochures and gain valuable experience using Photoshop.
Working with clay sculpture in the past has led me to sculpture of all kinds including metal, cement, wood and paper mache.
It is the challenge of coming up with a completely new idea that drives my creations. When I'm painting, I'm in bliss, and when I'm doing sculpture, I'm in rapture. Loving what you do is a gift that is never taken for granted.
I can't wait to start my next piece!
Pat Wilson (Patricia D. Miles)
Signature Note: I am married and took my husband's last name, but when I sign my artwork, I sign: Patricia D. Miles, my maiden name. I do this for 3 very good reasons:
1) There are many artists named Pat Wilson
2) I want it known that the art was done by a woman. Signing as Pat is too ambiguous.
3) My family is gone. Signing my birth given name is a way of honoring them.
